In our previous blog, we talked about our involvement with the Troy Traffic Jam, a free family-friendly event that raised funds for the Troy Historical Society.

Also this month, The Suburban Collection had another opportunity to sponsor an event focused around cars and raising money for charity. This event was called Muscle Car Mania and took place at M1 Concourse. Instead of placing the cars on display for people to inspect at their leisure, Muscle Car Mania is a judged car show with five categories, including: Best Modern Corvette, Best Classic Corvette, Best Modern Muscle Car, Best Classic Muscle Car, and Best in Show.

For each category, the owners of the winning vehicle had the opportunity to win $150, with the Best in Show choice winning $250! The panel featured distinguished judges who chose the winners of each category at the end of the night.

It cost $10 to enter a vehicle for judging and $5 just to be a spectator of the event. Every single penny that was donated by both entries to the car show and spectators were donated directly to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Detroit.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Detroit is a subset of The American Cancer Society, whose mission is to fund research in order to eliminate cancer and save lives – this organization specifically focusing on breast cancer in both women and men.

The Suburban Collection was the sole sponsor of the event and not only was it the perfect night for a car show, but the turnout was great!

We took a few pictures from the event to showcase the high number of cars that were entered in for judging:

Thank you to everyone in our community who came out in support of the event!
