We got to spend a few hours outside at Yeshiva Beth Yehudah’s Annual Family Spring Safety Day! This organization promotes the love of learning the Torah, the love of Eretz Yisroel, the values of living out the Torah, and midos tovos, which provides Torah education in accordance with Orthodox Jewish Law, or Halacha.
Because of how active their K9 unit is, The Suburban Collection and I wanted to extend our thanks to the officers and their four-legged companions for dedicating their lives to protecting our community. To show our gratitude, we presented one of their dogs, Paco, with a new bulletproof vest to help protect him as he serves the citizens of Oakland County!
The Suburban Collection was invited to attend Gleaner Community Food Bank’s Women’s Power Breakfast event. For over 40 years, these women have helped to bring about Gleaner Community Food Bank‘s mission of feeding the hungry and nourishing lives. Every year, they collect around 39 million pounds of food, which feeds around 89,000 individuals and families every day.
Nancy Kocsis was awarded Teacher Of The Year for Birmingham School District. She is the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Advisor for the entire school district. She has been a part of the Birmingham School District’s family for over 41 years, where she works hard to ensure that the children under her care are receiving the best education possible.
The Suburban Collection was a Gold Sponsor at the American Heart Association‘s Go Red For Women Luncheon event. There were over 600 people in attendance, all who are passionate about providing women with the knowledge in strategies in order to build a healthier life for themselves, free of cardiovascular disease and stress.
Nichole Rinehart from Grayson Elementary School was named Water School District’s Teacher Of The Year! Nichole works with over 50 fourth and fifth graders every year. She is also a respected and cherished part of her teaching community, which is why she was nominated for our Teacher Of The Year award.
